Ryder's Gray + Navy Nursery Reveal

It’s finally complete! Well, it’s been complete for a couple months now, but I couldn’t share it with you all right away because there were a few hints to his name in the room and we wanted to keep it a surprise until after he was born! So a little late, but better than never! :)

I am so happy with the way Ry’s nursery turned out. I ended up doing a completely different design than I had originally planned which you may remember the design board that I created here. It was a white and bright nursery with pops of vibrant color and a more modern feel. Only a few things from the original design made it into this one, the wall color, the end table, and book shelves. The reason I decided against the first design is because it didn’t really flow with the rest of our house so I decided to do something softer. Plus when he’s older we will have plenty of time for color! I wanted to take advantage of a soft nursery while I could! So without further ado, check out the design I came up with below! And as always, I have included sources for your reference!

The room is so calming and perfect for soothing a fussy newborn! I truly enjoy spending my time in this nursery which was so important to me since I knew we would be in there quite often! Some of my favorite features of the room are his book shelves, the bear print, and the canvas above his bed. The canvas has extra special meaning for me because when I was a baby, my mom decorated my nursery in a Peter Rabbit theme so I knew I wanted to find a way to incorporate Peter Rabbit into my sons nursery, and when I found this canvas on Etsy I knew I had to get it! I also really love the dresser because he can use it well into high school. It’s a study piece that we splurged on and it was so worth the money in my opinion. Same with the rocker. I didn’t want to skimp on that either since we’d be using it a lot!

So let me know in the comments what you think! Do you prefer this design or the original one I came up with here?
